if you stick one of those in a walkie talkie would it make the distance it picks up further out?

I use them in the walkie-talkies where I volunteer at, & the signal is clearer, & it did allow us to go a bit further. But we use 2 in each walkie, as I do in my cell phone. Before I started getting these, my research showed that it's best to try 1 first, & if it makes a slight difference, then add 1 more. Works for me! Every item I use them in. I use 2.
