In her arms, she bears branches of laurel and oak, which serve as symbols of civilian and military honors, respectively. The reverse was designed specifically for the American Silver Eagle by John Mercanti, who adapted the Great Seal of the United States. This coin is .999 pure silver and weighs 1 Troy oz.
