it means it's a service that uses as a sim card. as long as you have a sim card this phone will work

about to fan** but one question.. is this considered a smart phone? like if i have contract with at&t but not a plan that has unlimited data will it charge me extra for using this phone??

this phone isnt considered a smartphone butt it has Internet and a Facebook app. it doesn't effect your data plan when I used the phone my data usage didn't change
