⚠WARNING⚠
This bulb only emits UVA and does NOT provide the UVB that many reptiles and such also need for their homes. This was my first colossal mistake as a newbie herp owner. I was not aware I needed the UVB light as well as the heating light (UVA) and after caring for my first dragon as best I knew how, he still ultimately acquired Metabolic Bone Disease. That is something you NEVER want to see any of your pets have, it's especially hard when you've become emotionally attached to them. I can only describe it as excruciatingly painful to see how horribly they're affected by it and knowing it had been your fault. So if you weren't aware either and don't currently have the UVB light also, PLEASE go get one RIGHT NOW!

⚠Disclosure⚠
I purchased this bulb approximately two weeks ago as my sickly bearded dragon's previous one had burnt out. Being in a rush at the time, I mistakenly purchased the 150 watt instead of his needed 100 watt. I quickly learned the error of my ways when his basking area temp exceeded 105 degrees. This bulb wasn't even in his tank for a full 24 hours before I had replaced it with the correct 100 watt bulb. Therefore, I don't feel right listing and describing it as being new, but I can at least say that it just as well ought to be due to the extremely limited time it was used. But regardless, I want everyone to be aware before bidding.

Sorry to hear about your reptile with MBD. I have a baby bearded dragon who ended up getting MBD as well. Poor baby only had a 30% chance of living. Vet asked if we wanted him put down but I couldn't do that to him. He didn't have much of a chance but he also still had a chance to make it. I took the odds. He is still alive. He was our first reptile and we didn't know much about them but quickly learned. We were never told that they needed calcium on their food. He developed MBD because of that. He can no longer eat crickets because his jaw is too weak. But he does eat mealworms and his veggies. For a while we could only do baby food stage 1 because he couldn't even eat his mealworms. But he has come a long way. He is disabled now he has a hard time moving around but he does his best and we help him out. He is a fighter and he is our baby. He won't grow to normal size as he should but he is almost a year old now. So glad we took the odds and beat them. I wouldn't trade him for the world. Anyone who reads this don't think of it as we are mean for putting him through this because he is happy. He hears his name and he comes to us or perks his little head up. He still plays around and loves to be held. Think of it as a second Chance. We gave him a second chance at life. He ended up getting 2 shots and medicine to help him. And he really has come a long way. He still has a long road ahead of him. But now we know everything there is to know about him and how to keep him as healthy as possible and as happy as possible. Take care.
