Description

The listing, VINTAGE / ANTIQUE ORNATE GLASS BROOCH MARKED WESTERN GERMANY has ended.

Good Morning fellow Antique / Vintage Jewelry Lovers!

Today I have unearthed another of my many stashed brooches from my personal collection to share with you.

I believe this brooch was made in the early 1950's.

The prong setting & hardware are brass. The roll over clasp works as intended.

The Stone is Glass & has a "milky" appearance to it. Depending on the lighting , which I have tried to show you in the many photos I have posted, you can sometimes see some spots deep inside of the glass that look like bubbles?

Please view all the photos for the best description.

This brooch will be a lovely addition to your own German jewelry collection.

Shipping is Free & includes Tracking.

Thanks for looking & Be Well ~~~~

^^^ I apologize for that annoying piece of string that is on one of the prongs ;0(

That is so beautiful, even with the annoying piece of string! You make me laugh! The piece is quite vintage if not antique because of the length of the pin shaft. It appears to be much longer than the closure and I remember reading somewhere that the older the brooch the longer the pin shaft is. As they get "younger" they shorter the pin shaft got I guess because us more "modern" ladies got fed up poking our fingers! This is a gorgeous brooch my lady!!!!

Does it have a hole where you can put a chain through it ?
Feb 20th, 2017 at 10:32:44 AM PST by
Original
No, it does not, but I have looped chains through pin backs before when I wanted to wear a Brooch as a Pendant. I believe that will work.
