World Series Champion in 1954. Two time NL MVP. National League Rookie of the Year in 1951. Twelve time Gold Glove Award Winner. Two time MLB All Star Game MVP. Roberto Clemente Award winner. National League Batting Champion in 1954. Four time NL Home Run leader. Four time NL stolen base leader. Hit four homers in a game on April 30th, 1961. San Francisco Giants uniform # 24 retired. Major League baseball All Century Team. Major League Baseball All Time team. Inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1979.
Personal Note : Willie was my celebrity autograph guest at a baseball card show held at the Salem Armory Auditorium in Salem, Oregon on March 27th, 1988. He signed 1,607 autographs at my show.
