Opals actually contain up to 30% water. Once I buy an opal it is properly stored. They are so intriguing and my favorite gemstone!

Up for bid is this beautiful Opal cabochon, large in size. Not so conveniently, my brand new scale is not reading accurately so I'm improvising by taking a photo beside a penny for size reference. Winner receives exact stone photographed with free and appropriately packaged shipping.
