Description

The listing, And Never Let Her Go by Ann Rule - GUC has ended.

Paperback book, good used condition. Got it off Listia, and started to read it, but couldn't finish it. I didn't feel for the victim because Ann Rule likes to delve a little too deeply into her characters sometimes, and I just felt sorry for the girl. Not in a good way, but more in a pathetic way. It dragged and I lost interest after 160 pages and the girl hadn't died...and there were still over 500 pages left of the book to go. It is well-written, but just a bit too much for me. This is not the first Ann Rule book that I struggled through, but the first that I put down.

My two cents:
1. No GIN on items I feel will do well in an open bid.
2. No lowering of days. I need time to get supplies ready to ship, get everyone’s verified addresses, and make sure I have the funds to ship them to you.
3. Please be courteous in your comments and questions.
4. Please obey all Listia bidding rules, as I will try to do the same for shipping. This means that you have 7 days to send me your info, but I would love to receive it as soon as possible so I don’t have to keep making trips to the post office.
5. Please let me know when you receive the item, and please leave me feedback.
6. Feel free to Fan me, but I only Fan those with whom I do business.
7. Cat friendly, smoke free home.

Thanks! I definitely don't want to ever NOT side with the victim, and always love it when the killer gets his (or hers) in the end, but I think it was the way the victim was portrayed as so very needy of affection and her constant self-doubt and whining (as described by the author) that made me feel less about her demise and more like, well, maybe she is in a better place. Not where I want to go with a true crime book, really.
