This is sooo cute!! I am a California native living in north Wisconsin now..My niece is going to college in Chico..I saw some pics she took of the dam up there a couple of weeks ago & holy cow..

Thanks for the compliment on the jacket, I have been holding on to my daughter's clothes that outgrew her for months now. I live right below the dam and it was pretty scary when we got the evacuation notice even more when the alarms at the dam went off. Was so happy to finally come back home, feel safer now that they said they would give 12-24 hour notice to evacuate next time and DWR has been giving live updates all the time so we can be better prepared if it happens again. Hopefully it won't happen again and they have been fixing it 24/7 but we have back up necessities in our car just in case.

I bet that was very scary!!…I had to flee a wild fire in the middle of the night that was caused by lightning..I had embers flying around me as I got my baby, 2 horses, mama cat & kittens plus 1 dog out with no help..The supplies I kept in my car made all the difference..I smelled smoke for weeks after that..I lost my home but we were all OK..It was a scary ride down the mountain thru the smoke..Just stay very very prepared & I am so praying for your community & you :) xoox

Yes we re-built..We were young & just starting out so the second hand furniture was no big deal..it was all the new baby furniture & clothes plus a rocking chair my great grandfather made was the huge loss for us mostly..We had good insurance & again I was just grateful the dog woke me up to smell the smoke & see a wall of fire coming up the hill..yikes..lol..My hubby was in north California working at the time so it was just me.. I have always believed the angels helped me & mama cat was in her kitty house with her kittens so grab & run to car
