This is a beautiful amethyst and alexandrite diamond ring. It has stamped inside of band 14K. It's 2.56 ct. Ring size is an 8.

Are the stones on the side amethyst & the center stone alexandrite?Where are the diamonds located?Or are you refering to the center stone (a marquise cut)as a diamond shape? Just trying to clarify as pic is not clear Thanks

Amethyst is the marquise cut and the sides are the Alexandrite diamond. I have never seen a purple diamond nor a white amethyst. But that doesn't mean there isn't such stones. The description above is all I know.

My point exactly I see The amethyst now in center the alexandrite arent diamonds so thats why I was asking where the diamonds were. But Yes there are purple diamonds they are very expensive & the lightest amethyst is a very pale orchid pale pink color . I just wanted some clarifixation sorry if it sounded otherwise. Good luck

if this was real purple diamond it would not be on here or if the diamond were Alexandrite it would not be on here Alex is more rare than diamonds a 5 carat diamond is worth about $30,000+ alexendrite Stones over one carat may retail for $10,000/ct. while stones between 2.00 and 5.00 carats can fetch over $20,000/ct. Fine large alexandrites above five or six carats are extremely rare and top stones can sell for over $200,000. but this ring is beautiful

I learn something new everyday! But the large stone is an amethyst and the smaller ones on the side I guess are suppose to be the diamonds. This is just the description that went with the ring when I got it. If it was a real diamond it would be on my finger not on here!!!!

But thanks for telling me all those facts. Your the second person to tell me. Maybe I should change the heading.

LISTEN UP PLEASE: The heading for this ring is for an Amethyst (large stone) and the diamonds are on the sides. This heading is what came with the ring when I got it. As the persons @darkmattertorp and teribylund point out if it were a alexandrite diamond it would be worth a fortune. And I don't think that the "diamonds" that are on the side are real diamonds. I should have change the heading before I listed it. But I didn't know what a Alexandrite Diamond was. So if you wish to bow out just let me. I WAS NOT TRYING TO DECEIVE ANYONE! But I should have thought about it more before listing it under the heading that I got with it.

inside the ring it says 14kt that's all it says and that's all I know hope it helps some.

Do u want me to take it to a jeweler(which I have done in the past)but I wouldn't know anything until Monday. All I know is the 14k stamped inside the ring. When I got it it said solid gold but I just don't know. Like I said I can take it to a jeweler in town.
