A sequel to the smash cult film 'The Hitcher,' 'The Hitcher II' takes place fifteen years after Jim Halsey narrowly escaped the terror and madness of a psychopathic wanderer named John Ryder, brilliantly played by Rutger Hauer. Still affected by the trauma and haunted by his memories, Jim and his girlfriend decide to return to the scene to convince Jim the nightmare is truly over. He reluctantly picks up a hitchhiker (Jake Busey) after a night of strange occurrences, who proves to be another disturbed and dangerous individual. The night unravels with horror and menace as Jim relives the events of his first encounter.
