I did think since the paragraph stated for LISTIA, YARDSELLR, EBAY, ***OR*** ETSY, it would be common sense- the "currency" of that site. If its Listia- "Credits" if the others "cash".... Overall, Its my blanket policy- I will be fair to you, I will do public meet ups if local, If you win multiple auctions I would combine shipping not just tally up all the flat rates, and I'm trying to get the books to home school my sister. So, with the "currency" of Listia being "Credits" and if someone lists the books or supplies I need I would bid on them. Some one did list 3 I needed but at the time I did not have enough credits and missed out. So to sum it up, NO, no one would be charged extra- that wouldn't be fair, and it would go against what I said earlier. Bid like any other auction. I am just being honest with what I plan to do with the "PROCEEDS" of "ANY OF MY AUCTIONS" Sorry that confused some of you.

Thank you, and I try! lol I really appreciate the fanning and any and all help.

I know that a lot of people wouldn't do this for their own kin, let alone a sister that is 23 years their junior, but I feel it's only right. Especially when its within my power to do so! I am choosing / chosen to be the "teacher" as we feel that I am the "best choice" out of Mum, Dad, and I. It's also kind of hard to not to be when Sissy is sort of demanding it! lol She loves it when we go to say...Lowes/ Home Depot (of all places right??!) and I have turned it into a Science lesson (Bees, plants, life cycles ect) or a Math lesson (If a brick is "This Big", how many bricks would we need to make a path 5 feet long?). I really think learning can happen ANY WHERE, if the opportunity is taken.

We can no longer afford to send her to a "better" school and I really believe that the public school system is failing our children. I KNOW a lot of it needs to be addressed in the homes also, but I do not feel a child being taught to pass a test (aka Fcat, SAT's ect) is truly serving the child's need for an education.

This is our future (our kids) and if we don't care, who will? What will become of them? How will they have a "better" life if all they become is another clog in the work system? What if with a little better educationin the beginning (and hopefully throughout!) ----- that same child- maybe one of our kids/ grandkids ---find a cure for a certain cancer? better energy sources? The possibilities are endless with a better base education. This is MY perspective anyway.

Thank you for reading my "rant and rave". I will hush now! LOL :-D But again, THANK YOU ALL for your support. It really is en-heartening.

I think this is it in a nutshell~~On here, Listia, she will get credits she can use to get the books and things she needs for her sister. Other sites will get them the $$ in cash that they need. I remember selling everything under the sun in school to raise money. God bless you, hon!!

EXACTLY!!! :-)

I'm so glad you understood! I was rather surprised at how much the books are going to cost, but *sigh* that's how it is when you want something of value. The good part is we *don't* have to have new, just minimum "good shape". (Without the answers written in is nice too! LOL)

Sis and I are looking at yard sales, thrift stores you name it to try to save a little money, as we can then use any saved Quote unquote extra to buy a decent microscope, or other class room type tools. I had a lot of fun just looking at the science project kits, so I can only imagine the fun (And learning something at the same time) she'll have actually doing the experiments! :-)

One of my responses to Miss Susanne seemed to be cut in half,... This was the top half of my response..... Sorry All, don't know why it did that! :-S
