For the doubters...just got back from the "COIN ZONE" that Buys, sells and trades coins only address 4300 Grandhaven Rd Norton Shores. He said it is not a mint error. He said mint erros are letters, numbers, too close etc. I said is it a trick coin, I have had comments that they know its a trick coin. He said well they are wrong! He said trick coins can not be mint coins, they have to be made of another material. He said this is real, but what they did was take 2 1932 quarters, cut them in half and fuse them in a machine and there you have your quarter. He said people do it for novelty just like they make real coin jewelry. He said its still worth money since 1932 quarters are silver and he weighed it and said it has the silver weight....so there :) It has been checked by a coin dealer. He also asked me how much do I want for it. I told him I cant sell it I already have bids on it. He said if you change your mind or do not get what you are wanting for it call me and gave me his card...so yes best of luck to me...ha :D

Ok I did not know what you were saying, not really listing for worth only do that for gold...and a quarter is a quarter not worth much. But many collectors will get it no matter its worth. I know when I want something I get it no matter what :D

took to the "COIN ZONE" that Buys, sells and trades coins only address 4300 Grandhaven Rd Norton Shores. He said it is not a mint error. He said trick coins can not be mint coins, they have to be made of another material. He said this is real quarter two actually. but what they did was take 2 1932 quarters, cut them in half and fuse them in a machine and there you have your quarter. He said people do it for novelty just like they make real coin jewelry. He said its still worth money since 1932 quarters are silver and he weighed it and said it has the silver weight... which is more than a regular. :) It has been checked by a coin dealer. He said if you change your mind or do not get what you are wanting for it call me and gave me his card...so yay it is a real quarter just two put together. I thought it felt like a quarter...still a nice shock of a surprise to get for change... :D

Ok, you said you like the opal one, but do you know I just listed an opal and 2 diamond one the other day and started it out at 1 credit :)

hi, you always have awesome auctions.........if that quarter is real it would be worth a crazy amount of money, you should take it to a coin shop and find out, either way it is cool to own but if it turns out to be real and you can update the listing to let us all know you will get ten times more credits for it, so it would be worth it to have it appraised!! a coin shop will tell you for "FREE" if its real or not, thats what "gina557" meant with her comment when she said "look it up"

I have not lived here very long, but yes I can take it to a coin shop I just have to find one. Since I moved I still find myself using map constantly...lol. As far as an appraisal, I never pay for them not on jewelry nothing. But I never mind finding them that can tell me anything for free just like most places will test for gold for free. I have way to much stuff to appraise everything. But your right I do always take the gold even when it is marked. I will see which ones are in the area, I really never thought it would be worth anything other than a quarter lol. Since that is the change that is given to me. But I will check it out for you and test it here. I did find online the trick coins are metallic paint over plastic. That they had to make them that way because it is against the law to have money look to similar with magic tricks and trick coins, it has to do with counterfeit laws the article said. This is not plastic, it looks feels, and weighs like a quarter, and even the edge were the ridges are is the two shades like a quarter. Others can google that and yes I will look for a coin shop. Thanks...I did google it after Gina commented and found ones that are made for tricks, however also found they can not be made just like a quarter and are plastic or aluminum. And Gina is not here to see that this is not. But I will check also with a shop if its free.

As my grams says there is always a sour apple in the bunch. I would not be here if it was not for the block button...lol. I try to encourage others on their listings, to be the stepping stone not the stumbling block...but yes...all scorpios pack a sting...ha. I use the site for the same and to send my daughter care packages, I wait until I have a huge box from here and send it to her :D She loves it and this site helps me in that. Its to have fun not to make a pun... :D Have a great day, and I will send you some plants :D...thank you for your awesome ones. Everyone needs to check out CrazyChic36 auctions and if you like plants she ships fast and real healthy. I am very happy with mine LOVE THEM.

Thanks, I really did not think it would go that high, it was a quarter change, I just figured that is what it is worth... I almost kept it just because its different.. but I lose change so easy...lol.

Lol, I collect silver coins, myself, but I don't think I have the credits. I think its your reputation on here. You always have such incredible and amazing items, it's to be expected to get an incredible coin from you ^_^ I love all your auctions and I'm saving up credits just so I can gin one of your gold beauties. I've unfortunately missed a lot that I really wanted

Thank you so much, let me know what you are wanting. I have 9 sites I list on. When it sells on one I take it off the rest, already had some saying they were saving for the Cameo ring and pendant, another on the rose gold bracelet and ring, another on the 18k ring. All those sold quick as soon as I listed them on another site, I had to take them off here. At least if I know I can see if its on another or not put it on another to give you a chance. Really on this one I just thought it was worth a quarter, to sit there and have so many make a big stink out of it, just helped me get rid and block block the naysayers on here...lol..But I always leave all comments on so everyone can read. Thank you so much for the compliment, it means a lot to me, and I like anyone that wins from me to be happy :D

Ok, its not a real quarter?
    Original
I dont know, it looks and feels like one, it was just given to me as part of my change, so I thought I would list it.
  • Original
Either way its cool as hell!!
    Original
Thank you, everyone here cant tell the difference, even weighs the same gram weight...we have tried to find many flaws in it...it was a shock and is pretty cool.
  • Original
It looks real ..I definitely can't tell ..if love to win it that's for sure!

1932 is the very first year for the washington quarter, if its real you really have something there, you should definitely have it checked out by a professional!!

I will look for a coin place here and ask them what they think of it. Thanks

    Nice auction...
    Original
Thank you Sue, I found 1 coin place here called they are out of business so I found another one still in business 2 cities away. I am going to take it there to check it. But I dont see what the big fuss is like someone is going to get rich off listia that will never happen. I listed it as a quarter because its different like a collectors piece. Now I get to have to try and find a coin place 2 cities away...no one will get rich off this site...lol... its just a different unique coin that could be used as a trick but yes still a coin that I thought would be neat to list. Would have never listed it if I known I was spending my day looking for a coin place...lol... Just have things to do then mapping places. But I am doing it, will just think twice about listing coins again...lol. So much of a gold person not a coin. Thanks so much, and btw I love love your auctions!

If you look at the "ERTY" in liberty you can see a seam where two coins have been fused together. One was hollowed out and the other was cut down to fit inside it. I have a 1964 quarter that someone did the same thing.
    Original
Yes the coin shop said they cut them in two then have a machine that fuses them. Ive never seen anything like it...lol. especially in my change, seen wheat pennies, 2.00 bills, half dollars and dollar coins but that was a first...lol.

This is a Classic Chinese replica ( illegal ) to sell on this open market..I see tons of these Counterfeit at coin Conventions and are on display ONLY to show they are fake from a mass Chinese production as well as other U.S. and world coins ..I know hundreds of coin dealers personally and attend International Coin Conventions ..if you look at pic #1 you will see a dot a top of Washington head that means it is a cast metal from China..your story is very hard to believe from my professional opinion ( found in change ) however still a illegal coin to own..just visit the U.S. Mint Bureau!
    Original
Actually you opened mouth with no clue to what you are saying. One my brother is an attorney I always go by legal. Two I have taken it to a coin dealer read it, he said it is not a replica but 2 coins that are US COINS that are put together. Both are silver he said so it has a worth. Try reading the comments. I have already had many from its on ebay to its a trick to now a China replica, I dont know what ebay has..but I know mine is silver, I know its not a trick coin or a replica. People need to learn to stop being so jelly, thats right and learn, they are not here to see it other than a photo and read all comments before spouting, For one I have a trigger happy block finger, Two dont spout with out knowing facts or you will find me spouting on yours. You have to be able to take it, if you like to dish it. It says I took it to a coin professional...gave the address. Dont be jelly!
