The listing, WOO HOO!! Gardener's Delight - 10 RARE BLUE HOSTA SEED PODS!! FREE SHIPPING!! has ended.

Offering 10, count 'em TEN Blue Hosta Seed Pods!! Each pod bears on average of 4 to 5 paper thin black seeds. The 'Halcyon' is best known for its ability to retain its blue tones longer than most other Hosta cultivars of this color, in truth 'Halcyon' is a plant of many, many merits. Its leaves are very substantial even at a young age, enabling them to survive the ravages of hungry slugs and snails in the garden. The flowers are far more ornamental than those of most other varieties. And it is truly a lovely shade plant, with elongated heart-shaped leaves that combine rich blues with soft greens along the tips. No wonder it won England's highest honor for a plant, the coveted Award of Garden Merit!

'Halcyon' is a joy in the partly to fully shaded garden, reaching 18 to 24 inches high (out of bloom) and 30 to 36 inches wide. In late summer it sets 24-inch stems, slender and pale green, set with pastel lavender buds. These pop into long, funnel-shaped lilac flowers that hummingbirds simply cannot resist! Cut them for the vase or let them brighten the shade garden for weeks on end!

Please follow Listia rules and contact me within 7 days with your shipping address. If the winner does not do this, I can keep the credits and the seeds. So make sure you send it cause I'm trying to share! Lol!

I have grown hosta from the seeds from the same plants that these seeds are from. It's true you can divide and plant mature hosta, but need we discuss which came first; the chicken or the egg?

Hosta can be planted with the whole pod, or individual seeds from the pod. The seeds are found at the end of the wands that held the flowers. If they are not dead headed, they will product seed pods. I've never planted, nor heard of planting, Hosta from bulbs... didn't know they came that way? Anyways...plenty hardy and easy to plant.

:) i love them will def be watching...i guess you can get them both ways then bulb and see..i double checked myself to make sure i wasn't thinking the wrong plant lol...gotta love google..you can get them from bulb, might just be diff types have diff ways of planting...i think mine were the blue cadet variety...i mostly have just separated them from a mature hosta and planted and hoped for some blooms :) are these type good in all zones of planting? i'm a new englander so it'll be a lil bit before they went into the ground but i love talking to other gardeners (ok so i'm not an expert nor would i say i was lol) and learning more...
