We stay hurricane prepared. Don't wanna hear 1 is coming in & fight to get stuff at the store cuz alot of ppl don't prepare. Shoot, always have a case of wine in garage. lol!! :)

The wine & supplies get packed first…lol..no ppl do not prepare and it is their pets that suffer the most when they don't..they need to take their situation very seriously..I am used to earthquakes wildfires & now tornados which gives you no or little notice..We are parring for severe weather here Thursday so it is a heads up week

I hate to be indoors especially after a long cold winter..was just out in my kayak not am ready for a shower & fuzzy pajamas..so humid & warm here..yuk..

During hurricane season, which seems like all yr at times, we can flood here, but we are 11 miles inland so when it hits us it may already be in tornado mode. We keep alot of food stocked, water, batteries, make sure batteries for some flash lite, we keep those charged. We don't have a generator here tho, but would love to get 1. In the house we built for Michelle at top of Walker hill, big farm house in valley with creek running behind it was too hard on her lungs, so since we had 16 acres, we put her house up there & ran a whole house generator thru it. We had alot of tornados in Tn. But keeping a small generator here at least to run freezer on is something I'd love to get. When we lived in ole farm house, the channel 4 news in Nashville came out cuz we had an ice storm & no power for days & she had breathing treaments & feeding pump that required power. So when they did storn on tv & it ran all week, someone did bring us 1 & we had small tv on it, frig w/freezer, her feeding pump, with 1 small space heater cuz we put up a blanket in kitchen doorway so we could heat that 1 room. We slept on pallets on the floor & thank God my friend Jill, the 1 who was here a couple weeks ago took crabby Amber who needed a shower cuz Jill had power. But ppl called & called to offer us apartments, rooms, just everything but I was low on gas so I couldn't get to Nashville. That was why we ran a whole house generator on the hill in Michelle's house. Lord darlin' I wrote another chapter in the book I write to you!! LOL! What kind of bad weather Thursday are you supposed to get???

p.s. Couldn't get gas cuz no power at the stations & after that if power went out we were the prioriity to get it asap! Now, my neighbors loved that cuz we were usually at the end of the line because we were like 500 ft from the county line. ppl who brought generator brought many cans of gas with it. We were set especially after crabby teenager left! hahaha!! She wanted a shower & she let any1 & every1 know that for like a day too long! Jill knew I was ready to pop Am's mouth, so she was our savior!!
