Description

The listing, AMAZING LISTING - Yamazaki Flatware has ended.

Up for your consideration, Yamazaki Flatware, Victoria Gold Accent 5 Piece Place Setting for 10 with 6 serving utensils.
The Yamazaki Victoria place setting brings understated grandeur to the table in polished stainless steel with intricate gold-plated tassels and beaded accents. A traditional silhouette adds to its old-world appeal.
•18/8 stainless steel with gold plating
•Dishwasher safe
•Made in Japan
•Each setting includes salad fork, dinner fork, dinner knife, soup spoon and teaspoon
18/8 stainless steel
Designed with perfect weight and balance
Knife blades made with high carbon cutlery steel to maintain finely honed edges

Each five-piece place setting retails at $72 at Macy's. This auction includes 10 place settings plus six serving utensils. Purchased back in the 1990s it cost about $700-800 at The Bon (Now Macy's). It has been used once in all that time and in excellent condition.
I inherited this set from my mother and although it is very nice (and expensive) it is not my style. I hope it finds a home where someone will proudly show it off. It truly is a beautiful addition to any table.

Thank you. I wish I could use them myself but it just doesn't work for me. I thought about selling them but it made my heart hurt to think of giving something away that my deceased father bought for my mother. She told me that I could but...it didn't feel right. I have met some truly wonderful and generous people here on listia and after much praying about it. It feels right to offer something so special to people that give so much of themselves. And is always sweet and helpful to me especially when I first started. Does that make sense? I believe what comes around goes around. My husband wasn't to helpful he would rather I sold it. But... It just made the whole thing feel dirty. Money can't replace a gift like that. So...I am committed to offering this amazing gift to the highest bidding and on a selfish note. I hope it goes to someone that can really use and display such a gorgeous set who wouldn't have been able to otherwise. I am rambling now. Take care and God Bless all you wonderful Listians!!!!!

I think this will go down in history as the most expensive listia auction ever. You will no doubt be able to get a tv for your son. Have fun being a listia millionaire (relatively speaking)

Awww...thanks. I appreciate the kind words. It is always nice to hear that I am doing a good job with my listings.
I heard that the highest listing was for 350000 and was pretty recently. I don't know what it was for, though. Anybody know? I am glad that this auction is doing well. I cannot complain. 99.9% of people are wonderful here and I feel very good about sharing this with another Listian! Needless to say, my son is very excited. However, he is just as excited about the Bakugan listing that we have up. LOL... Gotta love 'em.

Got any idea what I can say that hasn't been said? No? Well, then...lovely auction, really sweet history, hope your son gets his television, your hubby sounds like most men, so don't hold that against him...it's natural for them (boy, I may be in a heap of trouble for that one), and since I am already a fan...I will definitely be watching. Oh, and by the way...How old did you say you are? LOL...as a matter of fact, I am laughing my tushie off. It is soooooo interesting to see some of the comments that come straight out of left field. And, how much did you say you weigh?. (Speaking of left field...I couldn't resist!!!) Uh...do you wear glasses? And your shoe size is???
I think I had better go to bed now...getting slap happy. Best Wishes and hugs....

Hi Baby I had to stop in and see this set thats for sure. It's very pretty. I have a few sets myself that date back some years. But it seems that most of the flatware I use is what the resteraunt gives you... hehe. but I wish you the best and be sure to use legends shipping for it and save yourself some money. and use the flat rate service to boot.

Years ago, I married the love of my life. Because of his cancer history, we just got married quickly at church on a wednesday night, no special "wedding things". He died in 1994. Years passed and finally, the house my kids nad I were in burned down while we were out of town. LOST everything. I wanted to be married so much, and finally 2003, I met a man. He was a country mouse, me a city mouse, so we had a small wedding of only family (30 people or so) and everyone gave us like $10, $25, and the like--- (very poor people), so we have been starting over since 2005. One thing we keep looking at is nice flatware (my first husband and I were comfortable and could afford such, but not this round, cause of my chronic health issues). I was able to buy a set of "china" off ebay, to replace his plastic dishes! When I saw this set, I just knew... I have to try for it. Thanks for being generous enough to give us, we Listians, a chance at something we couldn't afford otherwise! GREAT <3 <3 GREAT AUCTION!

Awww...Thanks, darlin! I try to be a good mommy! I will never be as good as my own mom but I try. TVs are just more important than super nice expensive flatware, I guess. This is my biggest auction, EVER, and I am a little nervous about it. I watch other huge listings and they seem to go so smoothly. I hope this one does well! Again, thanks for checking out my auciton and good luck if you decide to bid!
