Description

The listing, HUGE Auction Mystery Box Lot ALL NEW ITEMS!!! has ended.

Since a huge (unnamed) auction website did away with mystery auctions (which was a sad, sad day), I have decided to try listing some here. I am listing one for now but there will be more if people like them!

***THIS AUCTION IS FOR A SMALL FLAT RATE PRIORITY SHIPPING BOX STUFFED TO THE BRIM WITH VARIOUS ITEMS!! EVERYTHING YOU WILL RECEIVE IS NEW AND UNUSED!!!***

Since this is a small box, you can probably expect things like Make Up, Jewelry, maybe a book, small candles, accessories, office/art supplies, or other little doodads and trinkets. The box can be filled with many small items, or a couple big items: That's the surprise part :)

The photos are just an example of SOME of the things I have available. These photos don't even put a DENT in the amount/types of things I have available. This does not mean you will get the items in the photos! And sorry, but the fourth photo is of my cat Milo and he's not for sale LOL. Just felt like putting him there. That pic is an infamous one called "Proud Milo". Lol.

Anyway, I have SO much stuff that I can barely walk around in my house lol. So, my loss is your gain!

Everything you receive will be chosen completely at random. I generally do not take requests but if there's a type of item you specifically DO or DON'T want, you can let me know and I will TRY to include/not to include it in the box (but no promises!).

I have had SEVERAL customers who purchased my mystery boxes that have been MORE than happy with their surprises!! I have yet to receive an unhappy customer! You will not be disappointed!!

Also, my items do not come from a pet free or smoke free home, so if this is a problem, please do not bid!

It would go over great if you did free shipping. I've tried everything imaginable on this site and no one really bids much unless it's free shipping. Free shipping for doggy poo would get out of this world bids, lol. I bid either way and have found most of the ones I pay shipping on are the best! Nobody bids on mine when they have to pay the shipping.
This is a great idea and I will be watching and hoping to bid!!
I remember these types of auctions on eBay. They were really fun.
Oh and I fanned ya!! Thanks for listing such a great auction-clever idea!!

Thank you so much that is so nice of you to say :) Maybe I will do a smaller one of these soon? I can list something like this but instead of going by "filling a box of items" I can list it as the actual NUMBER of items that will be included...and make it a smaller one like 2 Small Items, 4 Small Items, etc... I do understand that there are people who don't have a lot of credits at all so maybe this will be something they (and you) would be interested in? Also I am sorry about your disability - I am disabled as well so once I start accumulating more credits I hope to find some things on here that I need for myself and my son. It sucks but hey it saves me from going to the mall and impulse buying everything I see!!

Get It Now is an optional feature that lets sellers specify the exact amount of credits they would be willing to accept to end an auction early. Bidders would then have the option to "Get it Now" instead of going through the auction process and competing with other bidders.

The Get it Now option is available throughout the duration of the auction, until a bidder has decided to use it. However, once bidding on the auction has reached 50% of the Get It Now value, the Get it Now option will be removed and can no longer be used.

The Get It Now option is available for all sellers with the Seller Wings badge.

Fees

To prevent sellers from abusing this feature, 50 credits will be deducted from the seller's account when they list an auction with the Get It Now option. This fee will will be fully refunded if a bidder later elects to "Get It Now" while the auction is running. The fee is necessary to help make sure sellers set reasonable Get It Now amounts.

When a bidder wins an auction using the Get it Now option, a percentage of the credits going to the seller will be deducted by Listia as a transaction fee.
•Get It Now Min: 2000 credits
•Get It Now Max: 500000 credits
•Transaction Fee: 10% of the Get It Now value (taken from the seller)
•Listing Fee: 50 credits (refunded if a bidder uses Get It Now)

For example if UserA lists an auction with Get It Now for 5000 credits, they will immediately get 50 credits deducted for listing the auction. If UserB later uses the Get It Now option to win the auction early, the seller will receive 4500 credits (500 credit transaction fee) for their item, and the original 50 credit listing fee will be refunded. However, if bidding reaches above 2500 credits before the option is used, the Get It Now option will be removed and can no longer be used. The listing fee will only be refunded if the auction ends with Get It Now.

Hi! Yes I was thinking that recently about how this auction ends at a time when everyone is in bed! I'm a night owl so my sleeping hours are completely opposite from "normal" people" lol. I will try to list my next items at a reasonable hour lol. See, with eBay I can schedule the start time of my auctions so I don't have a problem with anything ending at an awkward time...Listia: Please make it so we can schedule start times! :)

Also, you hit the nail right on the head when you said you're looking for anything jewelry related. That is my #1 thing I have SOOOOO MUCH of lol.. I would add a picture for you but this auction ends in less than an hour. Well, I'll make a listing for Jewelry Making supplies at some point soon and then you'll see I'm not exaggerating! lol. As far as the actual jewelry, I have a listing up for that as well so check it out if you want! It's another mystery auction but just with jewelry. Tons of photos too. :) I have it for free shipping. Which I'm kinda having a hard time with..I see just about everyone listing with free shipping.. is there a shipping secret I don't know about? Lol. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind having the free shipping option here and there but for every listing? I'll go broke Lol. Ah well if anyone has any shipping secrets or tips please let me know!

Also Kaye, the auction ends very soon and it looks like you're still in the lead! :) You won't get this til later but figured I'd say it anyway lol.

Awesome auction. I'm relatively new to Listia and I noticed a lot of people doing free shipping for their listings. I just am curious as to how it is affordable to ship for free. Are there any good ways to ship free?

Yup you're absolutely right - it does get expensive! I originally had this listing as paid priority mail shipping but after reading comments decided to go with the free shipping. BUT only because it's my first mystery auction on here! I can't always charge free shipping...I'll go broke lol. Especially with the ridiculous rates nowadays! I used to always list Mystery Auctions on eBay...and right when I was starting to really get the hang of it - getting used to knowing how to list in a way that would attract the most people, having fun with it, etc.. - that's when they decided to do away with the mystery auctions!! eBay has gone so downhill it's not even funny. But I won't get into that here.... So yeah anyway, I also listed one of these on here with a Modern Jewelry theme. I'm going to do one with vintage jewelry too but since most of my vintage jewelry is already going to be listed on eBay shortly (and is already boxed up), I'll have to go through what I have left and make up a nice box to list on here (will probably be small flat rate as well). Also may do another one of these but with new AND used items.. because I have a lot of stuff that's in very good/excellent condition but that isn't brand new. Though I don't know if many people would be interested in that? But we'll see. It seems like this auction is going quite well! Thank you everyone for watching and fanning (and of course bidding!) !!

Thanks everyone! Fanned you all back! Can't wait to see how this turns out! And thank you Michelle he's a good kitty but he is spoiled rotten! Lol. I got him for my birthday last year. He always runs into my room everytime he hears bags and boxes shuffling around cuz he knows that means I'm organizing and going through my jewelry and whatnot and he loves to sit on my bed and watch me the whole time! It relaxes him I think lol.

Thank you!! I fanned you back kaye :). Also I took your advice and upgraded the listing to free shipping! Also I was looking at the title and it's too bad I can't change it... it says "HUGE" Mystery auction...it's not huge...it's a small flat rate box LOL... I think I;m just used to selling the medium and large ones on eBay..I don't think I've ever listed a small one. But I wanted to start out small on here because I know I'm not a "trusted seller" yet, and I want to make sure people are happy with the things they get before I start going crazy with the listings lol.

You are absolutely right! I just started using Listia and I made my first listing with free shipping ONLY because it was my first listing, and it was a bag of beads which only cost a few dollars to ship. This listing was originally paid shipping, but after I read a comment that a very nice listia user posted above, I decided to do free shipping on this one too...I plan to do this only for the listings I have up currently, and sporadically thereafter because you're right - it is expensive and there is definitely not a cheaper or free way to ship (not that I know of anyway...but if anyone else does know of either of those options please let me know!). The thing I figured is, you may lost out on the shipping, but at the same time you are getting more bids than you would if you were to list with paid shipping, so in a way it evens out. But like I said, I am not doing this for every auction. And, like you, I also noticed a very large amount of people offer free shipping on their auctions! Like I said if there is any way to pay less for shipping or to ship free please let us in on the secrets! Lol. The only way I can think of that is pretty cheap to ship is Media Mail, but of course it has to actually BE media mail lol..books, dvd's, etc. With my listings I currently have up I am using the flat rate priority mail shipping (small box), which costs a little over $5 to ship anywhere in the U.S. So I can stuff as much as I can in there and it will still be the same price no matter where it is being shipped. Yes, $5 is costly, which is why I am not doing this for every auction lol. Well I hope this helps a little...sorry I couldn't give you a better answer!

Hi! Thank you! I know, eBay has gone so downhill and charges sooo much to list items and then there's the final value fee, then paypal taking THEIR fees, etc... so I totally understand the part about being broke! That's why I haven't sold on there in a while lol. But now I have a lot of stuff that needs to go so I will be listing on there soon...I wish there was another auction website that was even close to as popular as eBay but there isn't! At least not that I know of. Lately I've been listing more on Etsy than anything because I like to make stuff and sell supplies also..and their listing fees are always a flat rate of 20 cents! No matter how many pictures you use!
