Description

The listing, Very Pretty ~ Blue Glass ~ Vase? Small Pitcher? You Decide ~ has ended.

I Believe This Is From Avon ~ I Purchased This At A Rummage Sale & Though It Is Very Pretty, It's Just A Bit Too Dark To Match The Decor In My Living Room. :-(

My Loss, Your Gain ;-) However, By Listing It On Here, We Could Both Benefit From It. Then It Wouldn't Be A Total Loss For Me.....Right? Right!

I don't know very much about this piece, except that it is Glass....& it's Blue.....lol.....Anyone that knows anything more about this piece, I would REALLY welcome your comments.

~ Good Luck To All Who Bid ~

It's a decorative ewer collectible Avon bottle. Book value is about $14.00.

It didn't hold oil, it held perfume and it had a plastic stopper attached to the matching cobalt blue top. It's modeled after ancient ewers that WERE used to hold olive oil.

You just don't see many of these anymore. It's beautiful! Good luck.

It Is really cute & I think would look wonderful in a room with similar decor. I do not see a signature on it other than Avon pressed on the bottom. Hope this helps!

Yes, they got broken a lot of times. Sometimes, an oil pitcher didn't have a lid. So, there's no way of knowing now, if yours did. You are quite welcome about that piece of information. Good luck, and have a great day. -EJ =D

It's an oil pitcher for cooking oil. They used to use those a long time ago to hold the cooking oil. They usually also had a glass lid which often got broken.

Really? Ha! I didn't know! Thank you for that piece of info......& if it had a lid to it I wouldn't know. But very possibly did at one point, (maybe got broken like you said)? lol...... good call!
