The listing, $116 Beautiful black formal sz 16 sequin dress....worn once, no tag but with plastic it came with. has ended.

I bought this dress from jcpennys about a year ago for our pastors 15th anniversary party. I hv only worn it once and no longer can fit it. It has no tag but i still hv it in the original jcpennys bag i bought it in. The dress has a beaded black-bluish sequin in the front area by the chest area where it drapes down. The last pic is of the back where there is also the same sequin but more of it and it also drapes down. The dress is about 5-7 inches below my knee and im 5'6" tall. It is a sz 16 and the brand is Scarlet Nite (made in india. It is a stretch material and has a slight flair at the bottom. It is form fitting in the waist area.

Do you think a girdle and panty hose will help over the tummy? Im a size 16, but always worry about not being able to try some thing on first :)

I am the QUEEN of girdles hon. I wear them with Everything being a full figured woman. So the answer to that is ABSOLUTELY! I am self conscious about my tummy area, I wouldn't be caught dead without one on. And with this dress, I was comfortable.

@POPPYRUSHING....if ur a sz 16 u probably won't need a girdle bcs the dress isn't tight fitting, its free flowing.

In the description it should say FORM FITTING IN CHEST AREA not WAIST (my bad). The gown is free flowing ladies. Tomorrow I'm going to post a pic with me in the dress ok? Thanks

I am honest, I wouldn't wear it to a prom personally. However, if the hair, shoes, and acessories are dazzling....it definitely would pass. You would need to spice those things up bcs the"showy"part of the dress is the top front and top back. The rest is very simple & elegant. Now don't gt me wrong, you can wear it to a prom....my main concern is the color (I wouldn't do black). And plz don't think I'm criticizing your choice ok? Thats not at all my intention, I like bright colors thats why I only wore this for that occasion. So if your good at accessorizing....THEN YOU'VE HIT A HOME RUN, BCS BLUE BLACK WOULD DEFINITELY MK THIS PROM WEAR!;)

Fanning back, and it doesn't say, but I would dry clean or hand wash. If u know clothes better than I do, then you may hv the knowledge to know if washng it on permanent press I is safe or not. The material doesn't seem like it would be messed up in the washing machine. Thanks for asking.
