I found him online, he's a listed photographer"Born in Illinois on May 22, 1850. Hodson moved to California in 1875 and settled in Sacramento. By the early 1880s he was an established artist there. From 1898 until his demise on June 18, 1914, he operated a photographer gallery in San Francisco. Exh: Calif. State Fair, 1879-96 (wc & ink portraits, photos).
