Both, Many are clip on and several are pierced. Mostly the old vintage style ones are the clip, and the pierced are on the display cardboard thingie they come on, hope this makes sense to you. lol.

about the length of a standard ruler, an maybe 3-4 inches deep and 4 inches wide, all guesstimates, but you get the idea. Please use photos to help, will post try to measurements when I have a chance. Thanks
