Why is the shipping so high?

To give you a more specific idea regarding shipment, the box is 5 1/2 inch wide, 4 inches tall, and 1 inch thick. They're actually quite heavy for a small package. The seven boxes all together weigh 3lb 8oz. It will actually cost me approximately $12 and change to mail it parcel post.

It's not high at all when you consider the cost of packaging materials and postage. These are not thing boxes.

I'm already absorbing most of the shipping costs. These candles weigh in excess of 3 pounds.

why dont you use a flate rate box
anything that fits gets shipped for a low price without weighing

Because in this case due to the weight of the candles, and the size of each box, it would cost me more to ship in an appropriately sized flat rate box than shipping them economy mail. As I've stated to other bidders, what I'm charging for shipping is only a fraction of the actual shipping cost. To me, it seems like you are just complaining because I responded to your previous comment and told you that I would not ship it for free. If you don't like my shipping terms, then nobody is forcing you to bid on the auction.

That would be fine, but I would advise that if you are sending cash, wrap it up in several sheets of paper and put into the envelope so that it won't be visible on the outside what the contents are. And if this is what you are going to do, let me know when you mail it so that I will know when to expect it.
