It has been created by David Chase. Tony Soprano is played by James Gandolfini, while his wife Carmela is played by Edie Falco. Lorraine Bracco and Michael Imperioli also have significant roles in the show. Other mafia films such as 'The Godfather' series have been a source of inspiration for 'The Sopranos'.
