# 1. The Absent Author

***** writes to his favorite author, mystery writer Wallis Wallace, and invites him to Green Lawn. Wonder of wonders, Wallace says yes! In fact, the famous writer says that the only way he won’t come is if he’s kidnapped. But when the big day comes, Wallis Wallace is nowhere to be found. The police think he just missed his plane, but ***** knows better. It’s up to ***** and his two best friends, Josh and Ruth Rose, to find Wallace - before it’s too late!

#2. The Bald Bandit

A bandit has robbed Green Lawn Savings Bank! ***** and his friends Josh and Ruth Rose are ready to help. When a private detective comes to *****’s door looking for the kid who videotaped the crime, the trio volunteers to find him. After all, there’s a reward! But tracking down one red-headed kid isn’t such an easy job, especially if he doesn’t want to be found. ***** and his friends must find that kid - and his tape - before the bandit does!

# 3. The Canary Caper

*****, Josh, and Ruth Rose get an urgent call from Mrs. Davis. Her canary is gone! And that’s not all. Three other pets have mysteriously disappeared - including Ruth Rose’s cat, Tiger! The kids are sure a pet-napper is to blame. They won’t stop until they’ve tracked down the thief and returned the stolen pets to their rightful owners!

Can they discover who - or what - is haunting Moose Manor?

***** keeps getting letters addressed to “D. Duncan.” But when he opens them, they all start “Dear Doris” and don’t make any sense! Josh and Ruth Rose think someone’s playing a trick on *****. # 6. The Falcon’s Feathers

One afternoon, Josh discovers a nest of young falcons. He, *****, and Ruth Rose start checking up on the birds every day - until one morning they find the nest empty! Then the kids see one of the falcons with its wing feathers trimmed, and they know someone’s up to no good. Can they figure out what’s going on before it’s too late for the falcons?

A ghost has checked into the Shangri-la Hotel! It’s almost Halloween, and reports of strange sounds and even stranger sights are coming from Green Lawn’s only hotel. Every day, more and more guest are being scared away. Everyone else is getting scared, too! *****, Josh, and Ruth Rose must figure out what’s going on and catch the ghost - before Green Lawn turns into a ghost town!

# 9. The Invisible Island

It’s a beautiful day for a picnic! *****, Josh, and Ruth Rose pack up a basket and wait out to Squaw Island to eat and explore. Before they can even spread their blanket, they find a hundred-dollar bill in the sand! But when the kids come back the next day, the entire island has mysteriously disappeared. What is the secret of Squaw Island?

The king and queen of Costra have been kidnapped! Everyone in Green Lawn is in a quake about the ducks that keep crossing River Road. Just when the town raises enough cash to build a special duck bridge, the money is stolen! *****, Josh, and Ruth are on a quest to find the culprit! But to catch their quarry, the kids will have to go waiting… though quicksand!

# 12. The Runaway Racehorse

And they’re off! *****, Josh, and Ruth Rose are excited to see Uncle Warren’s new racehorse, Whirlaway, in action! But the night before the big race, the horse disappears! He shows up the next day, just in time to lose the race. Why is Whirlaway suddenly so slow? Can the kids figure it out - or is Whirlaway out of the winner’s circle for good?

Meet Tyrone the Tyrannosaurus, Green Lawn’s newest - and biggest! - visitor. The kids’ old friend Jud Wheat is in town, and he’s raising funds for a dinosaur museum by taking the T. rex on tour. But after the show in Green Lawn, all Jud’s money disappears! Can *****, Josh, and Ruth Rose track down the cash and rescue Jud from this prehistoric pickle?

# 15. The Unwilling Umpire

Play ball! The whole town has turned out to watch the Green Lawn women challenge the men in the charity baseball game - and to see Mr. Pocket’s prized baseball collection. But sometime during the game, the balls are stolen! The police suspect the umpire of foul play. Can *****, Josh, and Ruth Rose prove he's innocent, or is it strike three for the Green Lawn ump?

*****, Josh, and Ruth Rose are thrilled to visit Wallis Wallace at her new cabin in the Maine wilderness. On their very first day, they glimpse a white wolf and her babies on a cliff nearby. But soon after the kids spy the wolf family, the pups are stolen! Can *****, Josh, and Ruth Rose sniff out the culprits before the white wolf starts suspecting them?

# 18. The X’ed-Out X-Ray

*****, Josh, and Ruth Rose are having an excellent time at the Penelope Gwinn concert. But during intermission, ***** injures his arm! At the same time, the singer's diamond necklace is stolen. Could the two mishaps somehow be connected? And could *****'s X-ray be a clue?
It's up to the kids to examine the evidence and find out.

# 19. The Zombie Zone

*****, Josh, and Ruth Rose are excited to vacation in the Louisiana bayou country. But the small village they visit has a scary problem. The villagers tell stories of voodoo and a giant zombie with silver hair who has been digging up graves in the cemetery. Can the zombie be real? The kids will have to brave the zombie zone to unearth the truth.
