The listing, Airplane Bombing + Special Delivery Covers has ended.
Very interesting old cover with an image of an airplane bombing the earth! The right side of the envelope has been tore but thought this was an excellent cover because of the image.
You can see a close up of the image. I don't know if that is a baseball field or New York or not. Comments welcomed. Postmark Hartford CONN., backside reads Hotel Lexington, New York City.
Next cover has the US Army Examiner stamp and initials plusa very nice 3 cent postage due pair. Also shows stamped in purple: POSTAGE DUE ____ CENTS, with the word Air Mail with a plane flying (under the stamp). Army postmark.
1964 cover cancel reads: GIVE RED CROSS F U N D with an 8 cent airmail stamp.
4th cover is an 'Air Post Stamped Envelope'
You can see that this 1947 cover has at the top right was made with the image of Washington & Franklin and images of early and modern mail-carrying vehicles (Pony Express, old locomotive new train, airplane and ship) not a stamp but embossed and to the left are two stamps.
Last cover dated 1947 has a 13 cent Special Delivery stamp with a 5 cent airmail.
The Special Delivery Stamps indicated that an extra fee had been charged for immediate delivery to a person’s address once the mail was delivered to the nearest Post Office.
Auction ends at 7:00 PM, California time unless GIN (GET IT NOW) is used, and you can win right away for 2,000 credits.
