Soft back. Great condition although it does say Carol's book inside the front cover (my mom). Here is one recipe:
SOUTHERN CORN PONE
1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup of buttermilk
1 1/2 cup corn meal
1 1/2 tbsp. melted shortening
Add soda and salt to buttermilk. Stir into meal. Add the melted shortening and mix well. Allow o stand for 1 hour or longer. Shape into pones (?), place on a hot, well greased griddle and bake in a 350 degree oven until golden brown.
Never heard of it. Hmmm... might have to try this out!
I can't find an ISBN. So its either first print or reprint. Not sure how to tell. Internet search came up with nothing.
