Ah, I see. Good idea. I'm also about to pull RAM from another rackmount Dell server (about 40GB total,) but I don't know the form factor, capacities or specs yet. Please also keep in mind that the 1GBx8 have what appear to be heat sinks/shields on them, so they're a little thicker than "normal" DIMMs. Don't know if this would cause issues in your testbed.

To give the buyer some time to put them in the target system, stress-test them, make sure they're not dead. They're older, and I doubt the manufacturer still warrants them, but they were pulled from a machine sold to me as working.
