It depends how you value credits. Credits are more valuable if you buy them from Listia than if you earn them selling stuff. When you selling stuff, most people go buy 100,000 = $1. Sometimes even more

It’s just what the market is. The market is usually around 100,000 to 150,000 credits per dollar on items people want. If you check my old auctions, all of them went for similar credits per dollar.
