This unit includes the original battery which is original and still holds a charge but probably not for a whole movie. It can still be used with a car charger adapter (Not Included) or with the A/C Power Adapter (Included). The unit did come with a remote control but I do not think I have it any longer...however, if I find it, I will include it. The remote doesn't do anything special and all of the operations can be performed / accessed via the buttons on the DVD player itself.

I had one like that the connection to charge it the first to go when I call company it would cost more to ship fix what I payed for

It's crazy how far these have come in a short period of time. At the time these 8" portable models were hot, this year I see lots of 10.5" and 11" models on Amazon for like 1/3 the price of what these sold for just a few years ago in the $55 to $95 range but those are brands I'm not as familiar with.

Any idea what a new battery would cost?

Listing says a/c adapter yes, car d/c adapter no, remote - maybe if seller finds it. :-)

I'm seeing these used from $25 to $55 on eBay but can't seem to locate a new replacement battery - still looking though . . .
