So sorry :( I lost both mine also, what I did was make a book with all her quotes and sayings in it, and that way her wisdom could be passed down to my kids and theirs and so on, grams was my "hero", when I got to be a teenager, I was closer to her then anyone in my family, even more than my mom, which I loved her also, but looked up to my grams...it was my way of keeping her alive, with the book.

I have framed pics of me with each one of my grandmas displayed where I can see them every day. I also had a VERY close bond with my maternal Grandma, she was my 'Grammy'. She had 17 grandkids & she always let me know that I was her 'special one' in her subtle little ways. I was born 4 days after her birthday and she told me that I was the best birthday gift she had ever received. :) She had Gold & Emerald Birthstone ring that she absolutely cherished and she told my mom to make sure I got it when she was gone. I spent all my weekends and summer vacations with her, she was my world. My mom is my best friend now, but I will always miss my Precious Grammy.

Thank you, i have your quote in a pic frame with my kids pictures in it also when they were younger I had it made and another one that says, When a the child is born, so is the mother, before she was just a woman but love made her a mom...love and cherish my pics, because when they grow they have lives of their own...and there is an emptiness from it... but that is when you stat wanting to be a grandma :) Which there is a quote for that as well. "grandma's are better then moms, that is why God put grand before ma", that tickled my grams...lol

AWWWWW...I totally agree with all that! I became a mommy at 16, and went from CHILD to MOM in an instant, that's the instant you know what unconditional true love really is! :))

It is pure and unconditional, my grams called it God love, unconditional and pure and said its a shame most people could only handle that sort of love with their child, not with all like God does, that is why she would say a person mind is a lot like cement, all mixed up and permanently set. lol :) miss her but her wisdom lives on.

LOL...so true. I miss my sweet Grammy , too. I lost both of my Grandmas within the last few years..one at age 88 and the other at age 94. My kids were lucky enough to have Great Grandmas for many years, which most people don't get the pleasure of experiencing. Oh gosh, I get teary just thinking about them, but...the beautiful memories are what I try to focus on. :)
