If the truth be known then and a half million credits is in big D's war chest, I am a mere piker here soon to be sent out the same door as in I came. That's cool. Definitely enjoy the company and glad to have stirred the pot to awaken all the normal snipers. This is what an auction should be. Have a good time everyone.

Put up the bison 6 and I might go all in. It will at least do as good as this one especially if Big D's war chest is as big as he states and I am certain it is. You don't see the Big D out in full armor often. But when he is it can become a spectator sport:). Good auction juststuff40. Thanks for putting it up.

Boy,I can't wait to get back home later tonight!!For the past 5 days iv'e had to sit in a Arbys just to get an internet connection and they are beginning to look at me like i'm daft or planning to rob the place!!I'm glad this block is making so many of you happy.I will give the bison block some serious thought,no promises, but we'll see.Talk to you later(i'm getting the evil eye from the woman at the counter,uh-oh)

Its a mere block of 6. A little off center If it was a plate block of 4 it would come in at about $100. But its nice and braggin' rights have become an intrinsic added value. Hell for a bunch of old desk warriors this is about as good as it gets. :)

You guys(and girls,I have to keep throwing that in)do know your stamps! The centering could be better on the block, for sure.I have always been a stickler for the centering!Should look like a perfectly framed painting.

Surely HE'S watching all this! Ooooooh, baby! I can't wait for the last 2 minutes! Heh heh Heh! Eternal auction bliss!!!

Aaaaah, yes......the gang IS all here. FINALLY, something in the Listia stamp section to get us all squirming in our seats. I know there's lots of keyboards dripping with drool! This is something that separates the men from the boys.....wait....excuse me, snail....AND the women from the girls. Let's see...I figure China Mike's eyeballs have popped out and are bouncing around on his desk. Funthings couldn't hold back any longer, and jumped in head first. I think Popoyster, JTSI, Cameron and possibly whitefoote, are all lurking in the wings. Ol' Slim is working on a bluff....but he really isn't bluffing! He's carefully calculating the X-factor regarding credit value vs. actual value. As for poor ol' Doodlebug, well.........I'm popping tranquilizers to keep some degree of saneness about myself. I'm also sure there are a few others keeping a close eye on this one. It isn't every day we find one as good as this. Rumor has it the snail lady has called in all debts owed to her, plus emptied out her storage shed of credits, putting together a massive sum to plop down at the last second. Little does she know that I'm going to come crashing down with ONE second left, and poke the auction with 500,000 big ones. Heh heh! All in all, this is what auctions are all about. Friends, enemies, and everything in between, all coming together, in a quest to be named "THE WINNER".

Wow,honestly I never would have thought this would garnish this much interest!!What a great group of people we have here!I certainly don't want to be the cause of any kind of postage stamp feuding(I think the Hatfields and McCoys are still going at it).It is nice to have lots of familiar names here. The Listia stamp community seems to be a tight knit group, and that's good.My god what would happen if I put up my 30cent bison block of 6!?

Well I was just laying there thinking about the sorry state of the nation and world and decided I wanted to do something about it. All I could think of was registering another bid on this. :)

Welcome back! That's very funny(not the sorry state of our world that is just depressing). If placing another bid gives some peace of mind then that is a boost to the economy we all can agree on!Thank you, Jerusalemslim

Oh my gosh, you are so funny, stop it stop it, I can't stop laughing!
I have a thing about clowns.. That creepy clown on Poltergeist, sitting in a chair one minute, then the next wrapping it's skinny clown arms around that poor kid, lolol...

Barbarella? Never heard of the doll, looked it up, well heck it's freaking me out right now, and I am an adult!!!!! LOL

Thanks for some fun conversation!

Oh yeah, clowns are up there on the creepy scale too.Just dolls with face paint and big red noses!I remember that scene from Poltergeist when the clown grabbed the boy and pulled him under the bed;creepy scene but a great movie!I mention the movie,"Barbarella" to most people and they look at me like I have three heads but that one scene with the dolls and their sharp, shiny teeth making little clicking noises when they bit down left an impression on my 10 year old brain!!Lol,talk to you later.

That's TOOOOO funny, rent a storage unit.... for all the items found in other peoples storage units, ha ha ha! The show: Storage Wars, is on the A&E Channel, and it's on today, six episodes right in a row, wow, ha!

Hi juststuff40,
Your auction is so good, as I see bunches of familiar faces here! I understand about China Mike, every where I go, he has already been there, ha ha! Same with PopOyster and a few others. But I think that's great, we all get to know each other.
Take care,
Sue

Thanks again,Sue!It's always nice to have like minded people checking out your auctions. Some people like coins,or dolls,or fountain pens, others find that allure with postage stamps.I collect all but dolls(find them kinda creepy,Barbarella freaked me out when I was younger and I never got over it).Talk to you later!!

Speaking of storage lockers, lolol.. There is a TV show called Storage Wars, I love watching it, they open up the door to people's abandoned storage units, and the bids start flying and then they go through their stuff to see if there is anything worth money. I would love to do that, except I would probably keep everything ha ha!
Apr 11th, 2012 at 10:29:30 AM PDT by
Original
Yes,Iv'e heard of the show but never seen it.I bet it would be worth the risk bidding on a half ton of mystery boxes;most of the fun is opening them up(Christmas all year round!!).I would have to rent a storage unit for all the items I found in other peoples storage units,a vicious cycle!!

just wanted to ty. 4 the info. any i get helps, so far each bit i have gotten is helping me get more confident in trying this. and starting to see what you meant by not looking at as dollar amount versus. put something up and just see where it lands kind of idea. ty again and i will be watching what items you put up. i love collectables. just as a side note. i buy storage lockers, so this could turn out to be a good outlet for items that do not sell well , but may help me get credits for personal collectables i want. and ty. 4 fanning me back.

No problem at all fanning you back.I think if you were to ask anyone here a question they would try and help you out.Collecting anything can definitely turn into an obsession real fast!Great idea with the storage lockers, you never know what can come out of them.Glad I could help even if just a little.

Thanks Sue!I think Doodlebug put in a bid the first 5 minutes of the block being listed, super fast! And there is not much on the stamps section of Listia that slips past China Mike;the man loves his stamps(nothing wrong with that!!).I appreciate the positive comment and thanks for stopping by!!

f & w. as i am new to this. i am mostly watching. still trying to figure out how this all works. PLEASE FAN BACK TY.. so i can watch how you do this. maybe teach this old dog a new trick. lol. and still a little skeptical, is this stuff for real and really free for credits. ty. 4 your time and hopefully a fan back. hope you do well on these . they look real good for their age.
Apr 9th, 2012 at 2:12:41 AM PDT by

Thanks for your input.I'll be honest with you,I was a little skeptical at first. How do you put a dollar amount on something that is considered free? The concept wasn't registering to me!So I decided to try and not look at it on a "this many credits = this many dollars" basis but more as a system of barter. The best way to appreciate this is to put something up for auction here rather than actually purchasing credits(sorry Listia!).Like any auction you may not get what you hoped for on an item you sold, but could get a really good deal on a item that someone else has put up for auction!I have met really cool people here and have never(so far)bid on a item that was not the real thing or mislabeled.Well,I hope my little tangent makes you a little less skeptical.I have definitely fanned you back and I hope you have fun here!
