Hi all,
up for grabs are two ibook g3's. These are old macs, but they were good. I say "was" good because they both stopped working at the same time on me..lol. I am 95% sure that all they need are new batteries, but instead of replacing them, I am saving for a mac pro..:)...one was bought in the middle of last year ond one was bought in January of this year..both from e-bay.
Now, as far as the specs, I dont remember everything, and I cant get in them to look it up but I will tell you what I know. The first one I got (and you will be ble to tell which is which..the first one I refer to looks a little older, white and silver, slightly off colored)..that one was a dream..set up for internet, ran tiger, had outlook set up, maximum ram allowed (I think 628 or something like that) and 20 gig..the problem with that was the port where the charger went in started acting up and I took it to a shop but they said it needed replaced, would cost too much, yada yada..(it came with original old school round charger)..so I decided to get a new one and keep it for parts...so now comes the second one..very clean, almost new looking, came with new rectangle charger, not max memory..512 I think but 40 or 60 gig..also ran tiger, set up for wireless, and had a version of microsoft office on it...now one fo my one yr old twins figured out how to take they keys off, so it is missing various ones..but I figured I would take them off the old one and put them on the new one..
lo and behold, just for GP, I tried to plug the old one in with the new charger, and it worked..so I went back to the old one...but then one night, the charger port started acting funky again, so I tried to go back to the new one..and they both died on me..there is only one blinking notch on both batteries, whick is leading me to believe that they are dead now..but hey, they were old..(2003) model and I am sure they got great use..(it is 2012..lol)..
So, for any mac fans and techies, I wanna offer these up..

I ran out of space..but just wanted to ad that all my info is still on these systems, I dont wanna pay the exorbant amount the shop wants to wipe it..so whoever wins, I really need you to be trustworthy and wipe my info when you get them..nothing major, just web saves and history, personal addy, phone number, etc...Plus, I will post more pics soon..later today actually, other than that..please feel free to ask me any questions and I will try to answer them..also, shipping is free, I will stick them in a flat rate box and you will be good to go!

I took them out but but I dont have a new battery to replace and check them with...if there is another way to check let me know..kinda dumb on macs as I have only been using them for about a year..thanks..:)

yes they will, I have used them like that..just plug the ehternet cable in and you are good to go

check the back of the pc you might have a electric plug to just plug it in

please read the description everyone...they will not power on..the batteries are dead, which is why I have them listed as for parts or repairs.....I cannot charge the batteries at all as they will not charge!
