This Stuff is Free Too:
Description

The listing, Up to $750 Amazon eGift Card (Read Description for Details) has ended.

The highest bidder will receive a digital code for an Amazon Gift Card worth up to $750.

The final dollar value will be determined simply by dividing the final bid by 100,000. Minimum value will be $1.00 and the maximum value is $750.

*Note: An extra 10% bonus will be added for every 10 Million Listia Credits bid until the maximum value of $750 is reached.

What follows are several examples to clearly illustrate how this auction works:
Example 1 - Final bid of 499 (minimum bid) = $1.00
Example 2 - Final bid of 100,000 = $1.00
Example 3 - Final bid of 1,000,000 = $10.00
Example 4 - Final bid of 9,000,000 = $90.00
Example 5 - Final bid of 10,000,000 = $110.00*
Example 6 - Final bid of 20,000,000 = $240.00*
Example 7 - Final bid of 50,000,000 = $750.00*
Example 8 - Final bid of 60,000,000 = $750.00*

Math formulas for those interested:
FB = Final Bid
BC = Bonus Credit (Rounded down to the nearest 10%, 50% max)
FV = Final Value
100,000,000% / FB = BC
FB / 100,000 x (1+BC) = FV

Final note: Unlike other gift card bids, the higher you bid in this auction the more valuable the eGift Card becomes until you reach the maximum value of $750. Once the maximum value is reached, the auction proceeds like normal, with each bidder trying to outbid the other for the $750 eGift Card. I will purchase the eGift Card from Amazon most likely after the auction is complete unless the auction reaches the maximum $750 limit. There may be a small delay of a few minutes from the time of payment to the time of receipt; however, Amazon states that eGift Card delivery could take longer if their servers are running slowly. This is not likely, but I mention it up front as I know customers prefer to receive their items as quickly as possible, especially on a high value auction such as this one. Please feel free to ask me any further clarifying questions in the comments if needed so you can bid with maximum confidence. Cheers and happy bidding!

This is my kind of high stakes roll. I’m in!

Another gift card seller pointed out that after the ink conversion we probably wont have gift cards on Listia any more. Since ink will have a TRUE monetary value.

Makes sense. Any ideas on that?

Yes, I agree. The shift to cryptocurrency will diminish the demand. In fact, I believe the current demand for gift cards is partly what inspired the initiative. I also anticipate Listia's market place becoming more diverse in the future further reducing the demand for gift cards. However, I don't think gift cards will go away completely. Not unless Listia decides to ban the sale thereof, which I don't see happening.

I am optimistic that this conversion will be a positive step for Listia and for early adopters of this market place. This shift is likely to attract new customers and there's a tangible benefit to being a seller with an established reputation. My two cents anyways.

Good luck!

That's a LOT of money to spend on a gift card. My guess is that you WILL get 50 million or more ... are you prepared to really send a gift card that large?

If so, BEST of luck ... I've got my watch bid in!

On your listing hit “update” to do this. However Listia stops your ability to do that maybe 12 hours before the listing end. Not sure exactly when that “deadline” is tho.

If this listing doesn’t pop and you list this again please message me so I’ll see it!

Anything over 100K will be worth more than $1. Honestly, I'm surprised how conservative everyone has been so far. I would have expected much higher bids by now. Especially when I've auctioned a $125 gift card for as much as 13M credits. At least here you'd get $143 for the same amount. It will be interesting to see what happens in the final hours. I'll be sure to keep you in mind if I relist. Cheers!

It's 10% bonus for every 10M. So, 20M = 20% bonus and 30M = 30% bonus, up to 50%.

Thanks for all the interest everyone. I'd like to make clear that the current bid of 604 credits will result in a card value of $1. I think everyone may just be putting a watch bid on it for now, which is fine, but I just wanted to make sure no one is caught unaware that eGift Card has not reached the maximum value just yet.

You might want to post an update (if it’s not too late) with your updated tiers. The problem with your original tiers is that you don’t get more than $1 until you hit a million credits. Which should trade closer to $11 or $12 at the moment. Trying to follow any changes you’ve made in the comments is too difficult.

I hope that helps!

Thanks for the feedback, but those are just examples. I will divide the bids by 100,000. So a 500K bid is worth $5. And a 750K bid is worth $7.50.

It’s a live-and-learn situation. If you list another one include and explain the lower tiers in your original listing description. That’s what people read. OR post an official update. Changing the tiers in comments doesn’t work very well. I hope that helps!

Thank you. I'll keep that in mind. Just to be clear though, the terms have never changed. I've only been answering questions for those who did not understand the description. The formula is given so that anyone can calculate the final dollar amount before bidding. The examples provided just helped folks understand the terms better. If there's a specific amount anyone would like me to calculate for them, I'd be happy to do it here in the comments for complete transparency or they can message me in private it they prefer. Cheers!
