Description
The listing, Used Electronic 0.1 Gram Sensitive Mini Jewelry Scale has ended.
This is a nice used jewelry scale that is sensitive to one tenth of a gram, one hundredth of an ounce, one carat, one grain, one tenth of a pennyweight (dwt) and one thousandth of a troy ounce (ozt and the most sensitive part of the scale I think). I have a one hundredth of a gram scale now, so I don't need it.
New these cost $10-12. It has a tare and a bright display. There is a tiny surface corrosion stain on the lower right corner of the stainless steel weighing platform, which I couldn't remove with a magic eraser.
Free US shipping.

These are handy for so many things and are expensive to buy new. Another really nice item from a VERY trusted seller ...
I'm watching them all ... I LOVE to win stuff from a long-time Listians. ☺ Please check out some of the neat items I'm listing ... you might be surprised what this ol' gal has been up to!
❤️ I believe items on LIstia are a GOOD DEAL now ... things are gonna get more "real" after Feb. 28 because INK represents REAL $$$!
Yeah you really need a scale when selling gold and silver items. For gold and silver coins a scale at least down to the tenth of a gram is handy for trying a "specific gravity test": http://coinsblog.ws/2016/06/detecting-counterfeits-specific-gravity.html
Funny story ... my daughter and her boyfriend have gotten really into making home-made bread and are trying to get a sourdough yeast growing. Which is really complicated. They came for the weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday and had balls of dough ALL over the house!
So I stoked the fireplace so they could set them there to rise AND found a wall thermometer so we could check the temps ...
Anyhoo for the sourdough they have to add specific amounts of flour and water every few hours to feed the nitrifying bacteria and her boyfriend bought a gram scale for that. I had to laugh ... I have a little food scale I use to weigh my Listia packages but they wanted NUTHIN' to do with that ... too old school!
We ate a LOT of great bread this weekend ... not great for a diabetic but I'm always a bit of a risk-taker ... LOL.
We have a bread machine and since I bought it, the lady of the house put me in charge of making the bread. We tried sourdough a couple of times, but it was too much work. We bought some however this past week for the first time in a long time and it certainly tastes wonderful.
Sourdough really IS the best ... we gave Charlotte a bread machine but she didn't like it. So she bought this heavy-duty iron pot with a lid and she bakes her bread in that. She's kinda fussy ... and her boyfriend is a hoot. He's a mega-brainiac. Economics degree from Georgetown and works for Mathematica ... they are adorable together and I am HEAVILY hinting that they should pull the trigger.
We had such a funny discussion at dinner Saturday night ... other family members were there and talking about how their birthdays or birth years were like opposite numbers from their wedding dates ... you had to be there.
Anyway, Charlotte and her boyfriend were both both in 91. So that means 2019 would be a VERY auspicious year to be married ... HINT HINT HINT ...
