dewdrop58 also said something to me about re listing sometime ago. I don't understand it either. It's not like we keep up with every auction we win and who it was won from. Besides if you win something it's your than, right?

I feel that she is being unreasonable...she's probably using the logo without permission anyway. If I ship a package to someone, they can do anything they want with the contents...it's not my stuff anymore. :) zarifasabah makes the cards to spread the Listia love, but dewdrop58 is angry about getting a little competition I suppose. Thing is, I'll never buy from her again because of this attitude, so she's hurting herself & not preserving anything.

Great auction, and I will try my best to explain the copyright laws. When a person makes a copyright they have 3 months to register it with copyright.gov. No one can take a registered design and say it is "THEIR" design. Copyright infringement happens if someone "reproduces" the original copy. Copyrighted material should contain “©”, also once it is sold it then becomes the property of the new owner to do as they wish with it, the protection act is only that they can not claim the original makers design as their own design. But once bought, it becomes their property to do as they wish, to keep or resell. I hope this helps clarify it, my source is my brother he is a attorney :)

of course listia lets us use the logo more advertisement for them and free what! as a business you cant go wrong with that! and as for relisting what you have from others its not like you can get more unless you buy from them. and you even advertised for them as well by saying who you got them from. id call that a win dewdrop58! i didnt know your name until i happened on this post now i do!

We are lucky Listia lets users reproduce the logo. Yes, logically it makes sense, but they don't have to do it. Have you noticed in movies and TV sometimes that logos on products in the show are covered up? While it would have been free advertising for that company, for whatever reason they've not signed off on it being used.
If you want to deal with dewdrop58, good for you. Her cards have a lot of detail and she is a fast shipper. But don't ever share "her" cards! ;)

I apologize. I got them a while ago. I do not remember your auction saying I could NEVER SHARE. You got your credits, what is the problem? You do not own the logo

I was told anyone can use the listia logo on any item and sell it on here, there are several who order these cards and sell them. I just don't see why someone gets mad if another re lists something they win.

It's awesome to me that Listia allows us to use the logo at all! :) Like you, I do not understand the issue that dewdrop58 has with this...to me, it says that people like her product. I think that she should have a "sharing" attitude but unfortunately she does not. She's lost my business, and I can't be the only one who finds her approach weird.

Your welcome, he did not just go to school, or claim to know law by doing that which anyone can do. He actually graduated became an attorney and has his own law firm :) So I trust him in lots of stuff, and any questions I ever have I ask him... which is great because its like having your own personal attorney for free, even if its family lol :)
