Adobe certainly took a long time to realise that its existing photo-editing tools weren't ideal for web graphic creation but it has definitely taken the lesson to heart. Hot on the heels of ImageReady the company has released another dedicated Web graphics program, ImageStyler. Although both programs share the same end goal - the creation of GIFs and JPEGs for inclusion on web pages - their approach is fundamentally different. Whereas ImageReady is a bitmap-based application focused on optimizing existing images, ImageStyler is an object-based application designed to create images from scratch.
