The listing, WOW! 72 yr old HYMN book! 1940-1959 Upper Room Hymns Christian song book!! has ended.

79 year old Christian Hymm book! This was given to me by a 86yr old fellow Christian, she passed on not to long ago and as crazy as it sounds, it's hard for me to have around! This was her hymn book in ELEMENTARY school! It DOES have a inscription on inside cover, and a few songs she made a small comment on like a Smiley face or explanation points but only on a few! Honestly this is hard to auction but it's time for someone else to enjoy it! Please if you bid, know that this is a very rare old book so it's not going to be perfect it's been gently used for 72 years! And as I said I made the hard decision to auction it! So please if bidding treat it as a treasure it really is! Thank you and GOD BLESS!!

i would have to say my favorite hymns are i will fly away and amazing grace. i always cry when i hear amazing grace. reminds me of my oldest brother that passed away too young. we went to church together and always had our hymns book. i miss it. well if i don't win it at least it will go to a great home that someone will cherish it.

lisa that's MY favorite song too, actually there's another too have you ever heard "on eagles wings"? People thought I was insaine when I played it at my wedding (I sang) because it is kind of about death, "And HE will raise you up on eagle's wings bear you on the break of dawn and make you fly like the wind" well? something like that! it was my grammies FAVORITE song, and she was my world! she died when I was 9 but she had such a huge impact on who I am even now! It tells you something about a person when they shut down an entire town for their funeral! anyway I had it I sang it at my own wedding as a tribute to her (I took on my WHOLE family @ 9yrs old ALL adults cuz they weren't going to play it lol) well? 6 months after our wedding my husband was killed, I had them do BOTH Amazing Grace and On eagles wings I'm sorry about your loss hun!

Oops I sent before finishing lol as I was saying this is VERY old so there's a little fadding on the pages but as I said its 72yrs old lol it's not going to be perfect of course :) plus as u can see I took a pic of where she had put a Smiley face and there's a few more that have exclamation points by a song then the inside cover has the inscription she wrote to me! BUT? I think that just adds a lil character to it! :)

Jean told me when she gave it to me 2yrs ago that if I had read all the hymns in it and learned from it to pass it on to someone else who would learn from the hymns and appreciate learning from the hymns, so I thought about doing this auction because my kids don't want it and I've offered it to others but they didn't want it because it is older (which I found odd! They said they'd rather have newer hymns but the songs in it are VERY inspiring!) I've read it just like a book (like I do my Bible MANY times and I've written down the hymns in there that really inspired me! This has been stored in a padded sealed envelope since I received it, only taken out when I started reading it then on and off maybe 3? Times after I finished it and made copies of the songs that really inspired me :) I figured if someone bids on this? There christian or have a strong faith! As I stated it's an OLD hymn book so it's N

Im frustrated lol I verified my phone but that's not showing! Oh well I left a ticket for them to fix it hopefully they'll do that soon next step my verification of account tomorrow! Ok I finally figured out where the verifications are and what to do, I missed the verification call because its only 4a and my phone was downstairs but I put a ticket in asking them to help me buy letting me verify it again and I'll verify my other one tomorrow, I couldn't figure out what those were, so I guess I now know why people were commenting it's easier than I thought. So hopefully they will help me again w the phone and I'll have the phone and account verification by Monday!

Hey hun she personalized it for me but she didn't date it,, but if you look at the 1st pictures the book page is dated I've received some comments about this auction and others because I don't have verifications, I thank everyone for taking time to share concerns etc ALL I can say is I've only been on a week? And I'm pretty sure you all didn't have a ton of verifications when you 1st started and I KNOW no one knows me but? How can I prove I'm a good and honest person until my auctions close and I ship? And you know I was looking the pages are dated but the book itself isn't I know it's age because of the lady who gave it to me, and the fact that she used it in elementary school all I can do is tell you to look at the pictures I took of the dated pages sorry

i am so sorry Kimmie about your losses. what a tragedy. I have also had a lot of passing's in my family as well. it's heart wrenching when you lose someone you love with all your heart. If i win this book i guarantee i will cherish it for the rest of my life.
