I share with you a rare mix of 17 different types of kale for your garden. My goal is for you to grow these out to seed and save some and share some with others. Kale doesn't generally seed the first year. That means you must overwinter the plants to get seeds the following summer. These seeds were NOT free. I bought them with the intention of sharing them with others, like the program is designed. This variety is the "kale coalition" which is a mix of 17 types of kale & Thier crosses. A diverse genepool mix of 17 oleracea kales and their crosses. Nick Routledge trialed the 17 kales collected on our 2007 Seed Ambassadors trip and this is what happened the next spring. This grex contains a lot of very interesting diversity of kales not available in the US, not just curly green kales. The resulting mix contains the most incredibly vigorous kales we have ever seen.
