Up for auction, this nice, old 1962-D Franklin Half-Dollar which contains 90% Silver. The Ben Franklin Half-Dollar was minted from 1948 until 1963. Notice the Franklin Half was not minted in 1964 as President Kennedy was assassinated in 1963, the US Government minted a 1964 half-dollar in commemoration of Mr. Kennedy; this was the last half-dollar minted with 90% silver. The Kennedy Half-Dollars that were minted inn 1965-1970 contain 40% silver. After 1970 that ended the silver content in the Kennedy half-dollars. ONLY 4 DAYS this coin will remain on Listia.
