Description
The listing, 1895 Morgan Dollar! has ended.
I found this item at a yard sale a few years back and always intended to put it up for sale but never did until now. I am no coin collector but I did know a Morgan Dollar was worth a little something. See for yourself what you think as I know nothing about the history of this coin and happy bidding.
Questions & Comments
Did you take it to your local pawn shop to see if it is real?
looks real! nice photo's of it! silver is currently at %16.50+/- that has 1 ounce of 90% silver so about $15. worth of silver, but this year, in decent shape like that one usually fetches around $20+
Yeah. I use a DSLR camera and have semi-professional lighting for all of my pictures for all items. Some items are more difficult to take pictures of than others. These pictures turned out great.
Yeah. I check out my local flea market for mainly old electronics like Nintendos to try and find people who will give me a good price on them most won't but some will.
nice! my buddy Vince Lavarello and I do the same thing on weekends chasing old vinyl LP's and comics too! I'll picked up any nintendo cartridges for my kid if they are cheap! he knows that stuff, it in his age group! good luck with the auction, should close between 600-900 XNK
If you can buy these coins for less than $20 each you will be getting a good bargain. I was buying these for my album for $20- $50 each. These are average prices in Good- Excellent condition and high mintage years. Any pawn shop can tell you if they are real or not. They have to be sent in for an official professional grade.
This coin looks similar to another listing which is a Fake https://www.listia.com/auction/44980004-usa-united-morgan-dollar-1885-silver-us?li_source=LI&li_medium=other-things
I do not mind you commenting you think it is real or not real (I am no master on this subject either) but the build quality of this coin is far better than the build quality on the one you linked.
If this "King of the Morgans" is authentic (I doubt it) will go for more than 900 XNK. With no known business strikes (only proofs), this coin in any condition is worth ?None have been found.
I really should have looked it up myself. If I had realized it was possibly that rare of a coin I would have sent it off to be certified to find out 100% lol. I am still going to honor this auction wherever it may fall so bid away people
it would be an amazing find indeed to have discovered one of only 880 minted in the history of American coinage! What a great Listia auction find for some lucky Listia collector too! Gosh these auctions are so much fun!
