Not sure, i got these from best buy and cricket/att was the service i had when i activated the phones. But the phone weren't in a specific carrier section when i bought them. Hope that helps.

Can this connect to the internet over wifi to watch videos from apps downloaded from the Google play store without hooking it up a cell phone service carrier such as straight talk?. I am looking for an extra phone just to watch videos on from apps that I download in the Google play store. Thanks for your time & help. ;)

Yes, as long as you have wifi, you can use it without having phone service.

You should be able to call. Cricket and find out if they are unlocked or not, and if not they can Give you code to unlock its free. . I don't want to Get them If I cannot use Att Sim card in it.
My Daughter Needs a new Phone. Hers shorted out and wanted to get her Something to use until we can get her a new one.
