The listing, 1862-71 First Issue Proprietary Stamps (Scott #s R3 and R13) has ended.
Up for auction are two interesting very old First Issue US Revenue stamps. The 1c stamp has a hand cancellation. Both stamps are on very delicate paper. I cannot determine (bad vision) if they are printed on the more valuable silk paper, but if so, they are more valuable than if not. Perfs are 12 on both. No watermarks. Not the most centered stamps I've seen (they almost missed!) but still interesting. From a smoke-free home.
