Looks like 1991. It's 1000 Pesos, Mexico. You must have a lot of Mexican money lying around. ;)

it is not worth anything, but just for collection. It stop being use around 1993.

In the late 80's Mexico revalued it money. This coins value isn't very much.

The reason that I know is that I looked it up when I was selling one.. They are a very nice coin and light up any collection.

The image is of a famous Mexican Poet nun... good mix right? The coin is worth 1 new peso in the conversion (know on the dual tones coins with a NP ) the New Pesos became just Peso again around the year 2000. This one cannot be used in Mexico - but in the day it was worth around 10 US cents at the time they changed to NP to raise the values. There are a few from this era in Mexico that are wonderful silver - a great value that is sure to grow in value.
