Description

The listing, Mother's Day 1976 has ended.

This rare stamp, issued from Staffa Scotland, was designed from a precious turn-of-the-century engraving from the seaside resort of Brighton; site of the great International Exposition during the regin of Queen Victoria.
It was designed to commemorate the celebration of Mothers and Motherhood throughout the world; annually observed the second Sunday in May. Only 2000 stamps were minted exclusively for Calhoun's collectors society members.
