Absolutely! Sounds just like a cat when you move it! It does take button cell batteries and I just installed new ones in it!

Button cell batteries - Please explain - are these the watch or small round batteries for hearing aides ?

It is the larger hearing aid batteries. On the package it reads: AG13 1.5V. Hope this helps!
