you give them one a day, every day, during the warm months when you have to worry about ticks and fleas, but you can skip the wintertime if you want. Yes dogs eat them, especially if you add a 1/4 cup of peanut butter into the recipe.

you make the treats, following the directions, you can use any cookie cutter you want for the shape, or just make then into flattened cookie shapes by hand. There are 2 ingredients in them that fleas and ticks don't like, so they will leave your dog or cat alone. If making these for a cat, try to make then thinner or in smaller chunks, because their teeth are finer than a dogs.

I'd do the same thing if I could, but my finances won't allow it, plus, I tend to get attached very quickly. it would be very hard for me to give them up.

how does this actually work? i went to school for vet tech I learned that with the usual flea control products the stuff has to touch the skin, not the fur, to kill the fleas. And is this to prevent only?

It has 2 natural ingredients, one of them is commonly found in the spice rack of kitchens, the fleas and ticks don't like the smell of either of these ingredients. Because they are ingested, on a daily basis, r two small treats a day if toy sized dog treat size, one a day if medium or large dogs treat sized, these two ingredients smell seeps through the skin after a period of time, so fleas and ticks stay off the animals. These two ingredients could also be added to the water, but because they are in powder form, they would settle, and therefore not be as effective. But they are perfectly safe, in fact, I got the idea for these from an episode of DR. Oz..

Yes it works, there are 2 natural ingredients that when ingested on a daily basis, will make the animal's scent change, to the fleas & ticks, the animals will smell bad. So, they won't want to get on them & bite them. If your cat doesn't like the original recipe, you may try using fish stock in place of the water.
