Mimosa tree seed pods from my own trees!
Mimosa trees are fast growing and can reach heights of 20 to 40 feet.
Plant the seeds in full sun. If you live in a cold climate, it is best to plant your mimosa tree near a wall to help it to retain heat.
Water only during very dry periods... It's not necessary to water if getting regular rain levels.

we have tons of our mimosas in the backyard. Mimosas actually have medicinal uses - the leaves and the roots. You can use the flowers to make jelly too. Because they are so rampant in SC, it is actually illegal to sell them to SC residents because they don't want even more of them coming in. They take over everything and are difficult to get rid of once they start. It is nice to have a few of them, just be careful to not let them grow near the house or other buildings as they will crack the foundation. I think they are beautiful and unique. Just wanted to apss along some info that not many know. Good Luck!!

Yes they can be invasive as with many other plants here in FL. But if you keeps them trimmed and in check they are fine. I've never had any problems with them because of that.
