I usually figure out how much I pay in real life and structure my maximum bid accordingly. Listia XNK has been trading at 80 XNK for a $1 lately.
Also, this system is setup by a proxy bid system. Everyone puts in their highest bid and the system only makes the high bidder a little higher than the previous one.
