The listing, *BLUE CHERRY*Vegan/Organic INDIGO CHERRY DROP Tomato Seeds*BLUE CHERRY* has ended.

Indigo Cherry Drops is a stunning new cocktail cherry tomato from Oregon State University. The fruit is a purple black colour due to the high anthrocyanin levels, with rosy undersides and deep red flesh. Cherry Drops produces huge yields of 2-2.5 cm fruit with potentially 500-1,000 per plant under ideal conditions. Bred by Dr Jim Myers using traditional plant breeding techniques the colour comes from wild tomatoes found in the Galapagos Islands and Peru. 15+ seeds...Thank You for your interest.

Hi! Are these really sweet or do they have a nice balance or more acidity? I've tried a blue tomato or 2 and they were very sweet with a watered down tomato flavor. Looking for some new choices. Thank you, Kika

More acid. Do you seed swap?

Although, I ‘dry-farm’ my tomatoes and the Brix is higher (sweeter), I think these have a more tomato/acid bite too them.

They sound good then! I do seed swap. When I can get organized enough to make a list of my extra seeds. If you are looking for something just let me know. :)

I list seeds on Listia as a way to get these varieties out into more of the ‘main stream’ as opposed to just specific gardening sites. There’s a growing wave of people who collect seeds as a means of ‘status’ on many of the garden/seed sites. I’m trying to down play those status’s by sharing harder to find and rare varieties on websites that aren’t gardener specific. It’s hard for me to be a part of any organization that allows this type of ‘infamy’ to thrive within their communities. I rarely look for a specific type/variety of seed to steward. Diversity is the key element to my stewardship of seed(s). I grow out everything that I steward and share them in every corner of the Planet that has an interest or need growing them. Monetarily profiting from a seed that is already filling ones table with profits is not a concept that I’ll soon get on board with, probably never. Not enough people show the SEED the respect that it deserves from our society, but quickly find away to ride on it’s back for profit. I’m more than sure that that wasn’t the intent of their presence or usage. Sorry to RANT. I’m merely using this platform to make people aware of the importance of SHARING SEED over SELLING/PURCHASING SEED. There’s absolutely no need for the types of seed business occurring past the preservation of seed. Patenting a seed that was here before we were, makes about as much sense as patenting the future before it arrives. Definitely, contact me if you get around to wanting to swap. My email address is gratefulseedsaver@gmail.com. Hopefully, my opinion hasn’t effected our abilities to remain ‘online’ seed folks. Have a great day!!! Positive Vibrations...Mike

It doesn't bother me. I agree. I will see what I have. My seeds are at my place and my mothers where my garden is. I know I have a ton of buttercrunch lettuce seeds. Lol. I didn't mean to plant so much, or that they would all sprout. Salads are like my favorite food and I had more than enough lettuce until frost. As well as my whole family. So I started cleaning and bagging the lettuce for my mother to take to her church every week. They went like hotcakes! There were actually several people who I allowed into my garden to take what they wanted and bring friends. This year I have all these seeds. I already packaged a bunch and my mother is now taking those to church to give away too! It was great making all of them so happy. I had a ball and all the wonderful lettuce that I could eat! And now even those that didn't garden want to grow them. I am going to bag up other seeds that I have in case they, or their friends or neighbors, are interested. I bring them to work also. I have had people ask how much, but I have never charged. I enjoy being able to give them away. I get a type of satisfaction from it. And I like to stick it to those big companies too and share as many seeds as I can. I don't understand having "status" because of types of seeds that you have. I have never heard of that before. It's kind of silly if you ask me. Anyway, rant as much as you need! I don't mind one bit! Enjoy the week! Kika :0)
