They turn brown within a few days of being picked, in other words, they're dead. They're just laminated, which is what keeps them flat and not curled up.

You should do what I do and laminate them when there half dry. It keeps the color :)

I couldn't ever get them to keep their color. I tried a couple of things and nothing worked, I might try again next time i find some.
